Airing on five consecutive nights July 5-9, this talk show hosted by filmmaker and actor Eli Roth will feature celebrities and shark experts discussing the programming of the day and what’s ahead.
“Return of the Great White Serial Killer” – Shark expert Ralph Collier and Brandon McMillian will try to uncover the reasons behind the shark attacks in Surf Beach, California, which took place in the same month both in 2010 and 2012.
In this third installment of a fan favorite, experts will explore the deep sea for unique species of shark that glow in the dark.
Shark Trek: Dr. Greg Skomal, Massachusetts’ senior marine fisheries marine biologist, tries to determine why the Florida coast is the new great white shark hot spot in the Atlantic. “This year, we’ve spent quite a bit of time looking at science and research developments and technology created to help humans and sharks peacefully coexist”.
“I come from the “Jaws” generation”, says Howard Swartz, Discovery’s vice president for documentaries and specials, overseeing his first big summer splash. The Sevengill shark remains somewhat of a mystery and a team of shark experts are on a mission to find out how they hunt and more importantly how to better understand their behaviors and prevent shark attacks. There is also a Daily Shark Feed with breaking news about sharks and their habitats, among other elements and features.
Highlighting the most toothsome bites in Shark Week videolog, this show asks viewers to rank their favorite viral shark clips.
