IDF airstrike thwarts attempt to plant bomb on Gaza border; terrorist killed
A military court in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip on Wednesday sentenced four Palestinians to death on charges of spying for Israel, a statement and court sources said, APA reports quoting AFP.

Following the attack, the IDF instructed farmers in the area to stay away from the border fence.
This has led to many expecting rocket attacks from Gaza into southern Israel in retaliation for the IAF action.
Palestinian attacks on Israeli civilians and soldiers have killed 24 people.
He said security forces on the border with Gaza have been increasingly confronted with a threat from hostile terrorist groups who want to destabilise the situation.
Israel has long feared that hunger strikes by Palestinians in its prisons could end in death and trigger waves of protest in the occupied lands.
However, on Wednesday, the Palestinian government responded to Hamas’ offer, saying that its only aim is to continue foot-dragging on the issue, and blaming the movement for failing to hold up its obligations in Gaza and ignoring the suffering of Gazans.
A number of Palestinians have also been shot dead by Israeli military forces during popular demonstrations, over 20 of whom were killed in the Gaza Strip. The enclave remains under an Israeli blockade.
Locals said that the air strike struck a beach area 1km from the Israeli border fence.
Al-Saqqa said Israel allowed the export of strawberries from Gaza to the West Bank through Kerem Shalom commercial terminal on the border between southern Gaza Strip and Israel.

Three of the accused were sentenced in absentia, as they are thought to have fled from the Gaza Strip.
