The October 8 vote will be only the third Palestinian municipal elections since Israel and the Palestinians signed the Oslo peace accords in 1993.

The raids come as the Israeli military has been increasing its operations in the West Bank in order to root out Palestinian terrorists.

The Israeli army forces seized pistols, hand grenades and commandos’ knives during the security mission, said an Israeli army spokesman quoted by the report. “[They] responded with riot dispersal means and fired 0.22 caliber bullets towards main instigators”.

“The Hezbollah organization has recently made it a priority to try to spark terror acts, doing so from far away, while attempting to not clearly expressing its involvement”, the Shin Bet said in a statement. Over 206 Palestinians have been killed in the same period, a lot of them identified as attackers by Israel.

A new video that appears to show Israeli soldiers throwing a stun grenade at a group of Palestinians has emerged online.
