Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton movies lined up for Venice Film Festival
Actor Dhanush-produced Tamil thriller “Visaaranai” might be first film in the language to have its world premiere in the competition section of the upcoming at 72nd Venice worldwide Film Festival.

Among the titles 11 Minutes will compete against in Venice are Remember, the new film from Felicia’s Journey director Atom Egoyan; The Danish Girl from The King’s Speech director Tom Hooper; and Beasts of No Nation, which has been directed by True Detective’s Cary Fukunaga.
Italian director Luca Guadagnino involves the pageant with “A Bigger Splash” starring Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson and Ralph Fiennes, whereas Charlie Kaufman, …
Out-of-competition entries – which are not in the running for festival prizes but could be Academy Awards contenders – include Scott Cooper’s “Black Mass“, starring Depp as Boston gangster Whitey Bulger, and Thomas McCarthy’s “Spotlight“, which features Michael Keaton as the editor of a Boston Globe team investigating clerical sex abuse.
Martin Scorsese’s short film The Audition with Robert de Niro, Leonardo Di Caprio and Brad Pitt, is also included.
The 72nd Venice Film Festival is scheduled to run from September 2 to September 12.
Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron, known for Gravity, will head the jury, which includes Hollywood actresses Elizabeth Banks and Diane Kruger.
