‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Broke Box Office Records Last Night
While spoilers will not be given out, the film was full of surprises while paying homage to both trilogies that came before it. Greenfield said the success of “Force Awakens” would not be enough to offset the impact of subscriber losses at ESPN.

Kerry said Israel’s continued construction of settlements in disputed areas, and the lack of building permits granted to Palestinians, raise concerns among them about Israel’s long-term plans.

House Approves .1 Trillion Spending Bill
The deal marks a major achievement for new Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who delivered 150 Republican votes for the spending bill. Under a plan worked out in bipartisan negotiations, the legislation would be combined and voted on in the Senate the same day.

“Unfortunately that is not what we see”, he claimed.

DNC Sanctions Sanders Campaign For Accessing Clinton’s Voter Data
Bernie Sanders has filed a lawsuit in federal court seeking to regain access to a Democratic National Committee voter database. We will continue to work with and report to the DNC regarding this issue to ensure that this isolated incident does not recur.

“Without the Palestinian Authority Israel will be responsible for civil administration of the West Bank – it costs billions”, Kerry said.

He told a conference at the Brookings Institution in Washington that if that were to happen, Israel would have to assume full governance of the West Bank, potentially leading to a one-state solution that would endanger Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state.

IDF and Border Police raids in the West Bank overnight Saturday also saw the arrest of eight Palestinian suspects, the army said.

The incident came a day after the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry accused the Israeli and Palestinian leaderships of the standstill that prevents a two-state solution from materializing, while the conflict continues to take its deadly toll.

“The one-state solution is no solution at all for a secure, Jewish, democratic Israel living in peace, it is simply not a viable option”, Kerry said.

Netanyahu condemned the comments, calling them “scandalous” and said that “apparently the Swedish minister expects Israelis to present their necks to those who want to stab them”.

Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely said in a radio interview that she and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who also functions as foreign minister, would convene a meeting on Sunday to decide what she anticipated would be a “sharp response” to Wallstrom’s comments.

Israel says the spate of violence is due to incitement by Palestinian leaders over the Jerusalem holy site as well as videos encouraging violence spread on social media.

“The only workable solution is not a unitary state, but a demilitarized Palestinian state that recognizes the Jewish state”, Netanyahu said, reiterating his objection to the one-state solution.

Wallstrom’s remarks, however, touched a nerve in Israel, whose forces have killed 103 Palestinians since October 1, of whom it has identified 64 as assailants or who were caught on camera carrying out assaults.

Israeli officials privately accept that the violence is likely to continue. “The citizens of Israel and its security forces have the right to defend themselves”.
