#IFA2015 Samsung SleepSense wearable for improving sleep
Samsung Electronics, Korea’s top tech giant, is set to introduce a device promising a better sleep at the forthcoming IFA 2015 to be held in Berlin, Germany, on September 4.

Once the Samsung SleepSense is slipped underneath your sleeping body, it will keep a track of your heart rate, breathing and movement during the night.
Arriving in the form of a £200 Starter Kit, SmartThings allows users to connect all of their IoT devices to one hub where they can monitor, control and secure their home regardless of their location. Then, the device communicates (wirelessly) with the app on your phone to calculate your sleep score.
Samsung has revealed its plans to enter the smart home market with the release of a new smart home hub that will pitch it into battle with the likes of Apple and Google.
The Hub will also be capable of talking to other devices from other manufacturers, and Samsung has said it will encourage developers to create new apps and new integrations.
Notably, SleepSense is able to interact with Samsung’s various smart home appliances.
The gizmo will also do what more common-or-garden sleep trackers do: analyse your “sleep quantity and quality“, dishing up personalised sleep reports and serving up recommendations on how to improve your sleep via the companion mobile app.
Samsung United Kingdom president Andy Griffiths has previously said that the smart home trend will become increasingly popular.
Meanwhile, the company’s connected sensor are smaller and sleeker than ever, so you can arrange them throughout your house or office without attracting too much attention.
SmartThings, which first appeared as a KickStarter project, sold itself to Samsung a little over a year ago.
SLEEPsense has the ability to control other IoT connected devices such as air conditioners, TVs and more.

Following the company’s recent acquisition of IoT specialist SmartThings, Sammy has unveiled a family of smart home products to make keeping tabs on your home’s security, activity and well-being a whole lot easier.
