IGL cuts CNG, PNG prices in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad

The CNG will be priced for Rs 37.20 per kg against Rs 38 per kg form October 2 midnight.

The IGL said prices of CNG in Delhi has been reduced by 80 paise per kg while prices in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad have been reduced by 90 paise per kg. Due to differential tax structure in Uttar Pradesh, the applicable price of domestic PNG to households in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad would be ‘26.15 per scm, which has been reduced by ‘0.90 per scm from existing ‘27.05 per scm.

The government yesterday cut natural gas prices by 16 percent to Dollars 4.24 per unit for the six month period, beginning October 1.

People of national capital region will get to feel a respite from the rising Compressed Natural Gas price, as it has been sliced by 80 paise per kg on Thursday.

Therefore, the revised prices of CNG and domestic PNG in Mumbai will be Rs41.90/Kg and Rs25.31/SCM respectively.

Mahanagar Gas Limited or MGL on Thursday announced reduction of rates as a consequent to decrease in the price of domestically produced natural gas by the Government of India.

Mahanagar Gas Ltd, India’s biggest vendor of CNG fuel, has cut the price of the commodity after cuts by upstream providers such as ONGC and Reliance. After the latest reduction, CNG would offer over 56% savings towards the running cost when compared to petrol at the current level of prices. When compared to diesel driven vehicles, the economics in favour of CNG at revised price would be over 17%.
