Iheanacho not happy about Pellegrini’s exit

Iheanacho went on to praise the fans that have been so supportive of him and even sing out his name during games.

City had Kelechi Iheanacho open the scoring in Wales only for Andre Ayew to equalize on a free kick at the end of the first half.

“I think the atmosphere was not the best to fight for the title”. The result saw fourth-place City reach 66 points, three ahead (and 18 goals ahead) of Manchester United. “But I am ready for another challenge as we need to prepare a good team for next season so I will speak with my chairman about changes”.

For the City players, they will be motivated for sure and that is something which I think will allow them to succeed here.

He said: “I don’t need to speak to him because he knows the players, and he has friends in this club who can tell him what he needs to find”.

“I am fortunate to work in five countries”, he said.

“He knows perfectly what is this club, he has friends inside here”.

Pellegrini said: “It is so important (for it) to just depend on what we can do”.

He added: “One of the most hard things was to finish this season after they announced that this club would change next season”.

“It will not be easy, but we have shown we are a good team and this is a good memory to take into the summer”.

In what is quite possibly the only game of the final day that has any meaning at all, Manchester City look to ensure that they’ll be in the Champions League again next year.

So this August, City will play in a two-leg playoff for a spot in the group stage.

“I think perhaps in the following years you will see a few players from the institute”, he said.

When you are trying to have a big squad at the beginning, maybe the young players must be a little bit postponed.

Adding drama to the final day of the season, Manchester United’s clash with Bournemouth was abandoned after a suspicious package was found at Old Trafford stadium. A win for the Hammers and a loss for City would see the teams sit level on points, although the Citizens have a greater goal difference of +15.
