Iheanacho Speaks About His Chances of Survival Under Pep Guardiola
The German spent one season plying his trade under Guardiola at Bayern Munich, where the pair won a Bundesliga title together.

Before then, he won an astonishing 14 trophies with Barcelona in four years, including three La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns.
Guardiola was officially unveiled as City’s new head coach on Sunday and told supporters that his main aims were to foster a “team spirit and to play good as much as possible”. I had to wonder about family, I cannot live without them and in the end we didn’t decide [to sign]. I don’t want the players to think we have to do better and finish fourth.
Toni Kroos’ value is rising every day and the German player might want a better deal.
Guardiola was announced as City’s incoming boss on February 1, but said taking the job was never dependant on whether or not they reached the Champions League.
“First I have to meet my players, I have to know them”.
“Nobody is thinking we are going to win the competition or all the games – not at all”. I like players who think about themselves but also about Manchester City.
“But normally the people who try to understand the game and try to know why we do that, and not the other situation, okay, we will have a good relationship”.
German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and Spanish striker Nolito have already joined Guardiola at City and one heckler in the crowd asked if Barcelona’s Lionel Messi would be following them through the entrance door.
“One of my dreams would have been to play here”.
However, Gundogan is quick to point out that despite Ibra’s scathing remarks the former Sweden worldwide still admitted that Guardiola is the best coach in the world. I come here to learn.
“If your country wants you to play for them, you surely have to go, but it’s not up to me to decide”, said Iheanacho. “I know them as I have played against City in the last few years many times, I know their quality but they have to show me again”, he continued. He was the biggest influence in me coming here.

“Our target is end of August, September, and September 10 is the derby, so I could be ready for it, but it’s hard to say”, he told Sky Sports.
