Illinois Dems React to Clinton’s Recent Pneumonia Diagnosis
At her Brooklyn headquarters, campaign aides declined to speak about Clinton’s health condition.

Her comments came as her campaign scrambled to head off lasting damage from a hard weekend.
As Illinois Democrats hosted an event in front of Trump Tower promoting new voter registration, attention quickly shifted to the health of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. But as the day wore along Tuesday, a person close to the campaign said, it became clear that Clinton would rest for at least one more day. “It’s going to prevent her from focusing on issues she wants to focus on or focusing media attention that might be negative on the Trump campaign”, Wilson said. “It lasts a couple days, and then it disappears”.
Aaron Regunberg, a Democratic state representative from Rhode Island, said he was “surprised and concerned” that the race is so tight. “I don’t know what’s going on”.
The news of her illness came hours after a bystander captured a video of her unsteady on her feet and stumbling as she left the 9/11 memorial service at Ground Zero.
“I will treat her with great respect”, Trump said of Clinton.
Worries that Clinton could have health problems were stoked by a previous incident in 2012, when a stomach virus and dehydration prompted her to faint, causing what her doctor said was a concussion. Although Clinton has since apologised for the comments, Trump is demanding she apologises for saying that “half” of his supporters are “deplorable” people. “And obviously that didn’t work out so well”, she added.
In a previous poll, Clinton was leading Trump in double digits.
The health scare forced the 68-year-old former secretary of state to cancel campaign and fundraising trips to California and has fuelled concerns about her medical fitness less than two months to go for the November 8 election. “She had a good night’s sleep she’s doing fine”, he said.
“Clinton said she had similar dizzy spells in the past”.
There was a testy exchange when the Republican nominee’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, took umbrage at a reporter’s request for proof that Mr Trump was being audited by the IRS – the excuse he has given for not releasing his tax returns. He then slapped at a woman being led out.
“The last few days feed into a sense of uncertainty”, said Chris Kofinis, a Democratic strategist.
Are you satisfied by Trump’s first effort to address health questions, the four-paragraph open letter from his doctor last December saying the NY billionaire would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency”?
“You can’t stay home because ‘she’s been around for a long time.’ You know what?”

Somebody should have known that it would give Donald Trump a major advantage. His path to the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win in November is also narrow – he likely needs to carry Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and North Carolina – while Clinton has numerous routes.
