Emily Eavis, the co-organizer of Glastonbury and youngest daughter of the festival’s founder, Michael Eavis, confirmed to The Guardian that an offshoot would take place “in 2019 or 2018, but probably 2019”.

After nearly 50 years at Worthy Farm, Glastonbury founder and promoter Michael Eavis wants to move the festival to what he calls the “most attractive site in England”. By the way, the full line-up and stage times for this year’s edition of the DOOMED festival are now available.

The final list of acts added to the 2016 Glastonbury lineup include the likes of Tame Impala, Damon Albarn, Christine And The Queens, Mystery Jets, Alessia Cara and Rat Boy.

As for those rumours that Radiohead might take Glasto’s “secret performer” slot for 2016, Eavis says nothing is locked in.

“There will be all sorts of things popping up all the time”. Obviously with his relationship with the festival going back so far to 1971, we really wanted to mark it as if it were his stage, because he had such a relationship with Glastonbury.

Prince was in talks to perform at Glastonbury before his shock death, the festival’s founder has confirmed.

Festival-goers will use EE’s 4G network to share twice as much content in five days as people across the whole of Bristol – the South West’s largest city.
