Immigrant advocates react to to Trump’s plan

Mexico would not be have to pay upfront for a border wall with the United States, and could fund its construction by levying charges from travellers at the crossing point, an economic adviser to Donald Trump said yesterday (Thursday).

President Enrique Pena Nieto’s meeting with Mexico’s most-disliked man is turning into a public relations disaster for a leader already struggling with historically low popularity ratings.

On Thursday, Sheriff Jones responded to Trump’s plan in a written statement saying, “it is essential that we secure our borders and come up with a permanent solution to the immigration crisis facing our nation”.

Hector de Mauleon expressed frustration that President Enrique Pena Nieto had not demanded an apology “for the insults thrown at Mexico and the Mexicans during the past year” by Trump. He responded to Trump on Twitter by saying, “Repeating what I told you in person, Mexico will never pay for a wall”.

The crowd enthusiastically chanted, “Build that wall!”

Hillary Clinton has released a new video hitting Donald Trump for his “embarrassing” trip to Mexico. “I have such great respect for them and their strong values of family, faith and community”, this Trump look-alike declared in Mexico City.

He said crime and border crossings would plummet and gangs would disappear. But Mr Trump put the number of people he would deport at around two million, suggesting he is including individuals who have committed minor misdemeanours such as speeding.

The federal government under his presidency would not create any pathway to legal status or citizenship for undocumented immigrants a policy immigration hard-liners have dubbed “amnesty”.

“Somehow or another no one is talking about that piece”, Priebus said. Trump has promised to begin these deportations on his first day in office. Both wore white hats similar to Trump’s cheap-looking “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN” ball cap that read “MAKE MEXICO GREAT AGAIN ALSO”.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment. “You can not obtain legal status or become a citizen of the United States by illegally entering our country”.

“Notably, he did not call for a blanket ban on Muslim immigration, as he previously suggested in the campaign”. And so it turned out that Trump’s first foray into active foreign engagement even before the presidential election has resulted in widening the chasm with its southern neighbour, although the engagement was marked by civility.
