The User Interface is an important part of any great gaming experience and I can comfortably say without a shadow of doubt that the UI on the Nintendo Switch, whilst still incredibly barebones, is the most clean and smooth UI that we’ve seen on a Nintendo console. Major 2017 titles like Mass Effect: Andromeda, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Middle-earth: Shadow of War aren’t yet set to be coming to Nintendo’s system, and you probably shouldn’t expect them either. “These games will launch starting on March 3 alongside the Nintendo Switch hardware and will continue through the holiday”. “But I try to view any blunders in a positive light… fertile ground from which to improve and grow stronger”. The controller worked seamlessly on the operating system and more importantly it didn’t require any complex pairing to make it work with games. Nintendo’s Wii U console bombed when it came out in 2012, and its long-held dominance of the portable game market has been usurped by smartphones and tablets.
From the moment we first encountered the Wii U, we could see one particular use for the console that made us very excited indeed, despite how unlikely it was that any of it would ever come to fruition.

The launch title’s FAQ gave the game (pardon the pun) away as shown below. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch isn’t designed for long play times and away from the main home dock or even for long vehicle rides. We’ll find out how big the launch is this Friday.
