Ahead of the Clinton speeches, the conference saw a series of speeches from ordinary supporters, with Democrats – many of whom supported rival candidate Bernie Sanders – urged to set aside differences.

After Clinton’s speech, Trump posted a flurry of Twitter messages, including saying she was unfit to be president because of what he called her “refusal to mention Radical Islam” as she advocates allowing more refugees into the United States.
Hillary Clinton, a US senator from 2001 to 2009, lost the Democratic presidential nomination to Obama in 2008 and then became his secretary of state, serving in that role until 2013.
“What an incredible honor that you have given me, and I can’t believe we just put the biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet”, CNN reported she said. “A bold agenda to improve the lives of people across our country – to keep you safe, to get you good jobs, and to give your kids the opportunities they deserve”.
Another powerful man concurred.
Much of Clinton’s speech was targeted at Trump, while drawing contrasts with approach of her own party. “And we’re going to carry Hillary to victory this fall, because that’s what the moment demands”.
You didn’t think Hillary was going to make it to her victory lap without rubbing Trump’s face in it, right?
“He shook the house last night, but more significantly Obama is a calming centering leader in a time of great unrest”, CastroLang said Thursday. But here’s the sad truth: “There is no other Donald Trump…This is it”.
Clinton also has the hard task of trying to reintroduce herself, a daunting task for someone who has been in the national public eye for more than two decades.
With chants of “Hell no DNC, we won’t vote for Hillary” and “Lock her up”, the protesters made it clear they would not be casting their votes for Hillary Clinton.
Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, Democrats continued their well-choreographed convention, with a procession of accomplished lawmakers and others taking the stage to build support for Clinton.
Excitement filled the convention area heading into her speech, with attendees lining up outside the arena doors to experience the historic moment.
Trump, a 70-year-old NY businessman who has never held political office, is running just ahead of Clinton in a RealClearPolitics average of recent national opinion polls. But who would they be voting for instead?

Obama, a purveyor of hope and change, is at his best when he’s aspirational, and that was true again Wednesday night as he touched on familiar themes – the strength and resilience of America and Americans, the tough demands of democracy, and the necessity of compromise.
