Thanks to that person’s tip, the young girl’s mother, Rachelle Bond, has since been charged with accessory to murder, and Bond’s boyfriend Michael McCarthy has been charged with murder of the two-year-old girl.

The girl found dead on Deer Island in June has been identified by police as Bella Bond in a case that captivated the country and computer composites used in an attempt to identify her were viewed by millions.
Officials announced they hoped to bury Bella at a cemetery in Winthrop, after learning that her great-grandmother had also been buried there.
“She screamed to be let out”, the friend recalled, according to Deakin.
They both pleaded not guilty. A male friend of Bond’s and the friend’s sister went to the police with information about the couple, whom he had previously lived with while Bella was in their care.
A little while later, when Bond realized she didn’t hear any noise coming from the room, she went to check on her daughter.
McCarthy is being held wihout bail.
“In that moment, she knew her daughter was dead”, Deakin said of Bond.
Police found books on demons and demonology in the home, Deakin said.
“The tiny remains were found June 25 wrapped in a black trash bag, wearing polka dot trousers lying next to a zebra blanket along the shore of Deer Island, a narrow peninsula just east of Boston’s Logan Airport”, CNN reported. The pair allegedly locked Bella in a closet for 30 minutes and said the little girl was possessed.
Deakin said the medical examiner’s office has ruled out all natural causes of death for Bella, and there were no signs of trauma on the girl.
“At that point he said, “that’s great, you’ll be able to get yourself clean and get Bella back”, recalled Mr Deakin.
The friend told police that the couple yelled and demeaned the child and that he saw Bond spank her daughter, Deakin said. “You (expletive) rot in hell!”
UPDATE: (9:50 a.m.): The prosecution has asked that Michael McCarthy be held without bail and that Rachelle Bond be held on $1-million bail.
Prosecutors and attorneys for McCarthy and Bond haven’t commented. Neither suspect looked at each other. “It was her time to die”, Deakin said.
The individual went on to tell investigators that he was “appalled” at how McCarthy and Bond treated Bella. He has a serious seizure disorder that requires the help of a dog who has been his constant companion for over 10 years. The hash blows led to Bella’s death.
Sprinsky was walking with Bond one day when Bond told him that she had recently quit using drugs.
Deakin also told the court that Bond has a lengthy criminal record, including drug and prostitution convictions.
Both suspects are due in court Monday.
Amoroso said Bond told him that McCarthy punched Bella in the stomach over and over again until she stopped breathing.

Amoroso never met his daughter, though he said he had spoken to her on the phone for a brief period after she turned two and was getting better at speech.
