In Case You Were Wondering Why ‘Uncharted 4’ Got Delayed

Obviously Uncharted 4’s delay was a bit of a bummer.

Originally expected to come out this fall, Gamesradar is reporting that Uncharted 4 was pushed to March 16, 2016 in order to make sure that the game offers a satisfying conclusion.

“It was going to disappoint [fans] to push this thing back”, he said. Now, director Neil Druckmann has talked a little more about the delay and the reasons behind it.

Each game in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection runs at 1080p/60FPS with better lighting, textures, and models.

Ultimately, because “this is the last chapter for Nathan Drake”, Naughty Dog weighed the choices between fans and their expectations, and made a decision to give themselves as much time as possible and “go all-out for this series”. But there is something that happens that requires quite a bit of work for what we want it to do. Nah, I’m not going to say it! That’s set for December, by the way.

He confirmed that the studio is working on new characters for the game as well as ideas for Last of Us 2, however as the team is nearly done with their brainstorming progress, they were asked to work on Uncharted 4 instead. Sony wanted these players to experience one of the most beloved PlayStation franchise before they try out their hands on the fourth instalment, Uncharted: A Thief’s End.
