In final Iowa blitz, an outraged Clinton channels Sanders

Bernie Sanders came out swinging Saturday evening at a rally in Cedar Rapids, blasting Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for the tone of her campaign.

Voting tonight won’t be simple or quick – the curious caucus system requires attendance at a meeting that can last up to three hours.

After months of campaigning and more than $150 million spent on advertising, the race for supremacy in Iowa is close in both parties. Should she capture the Democratic nomination, Clinton will need to find a way to mobilize Sanders supporters to fuel a White House victory.

It’s similar to the strategy deployed by then-Sen.

Many thought Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush would be a top-tier Republican candidate, but he’s trailing badly.

In 2008, Obama’s candidacy attracted newcomers to the political process.

For all the hype surrounding the February 1 caucuses, only a fraction of Iowa’s registered voters participate.

De Blasio today told the New York Times that her campaign initially rejected his offer to help in Iowa because they already had “plenty” of surrogates there.

Clinton’s campaign said for all of 2015, she raised $112 million, the most ever of any non-incumbent candidate in a non-election year.

De Blasio, who was campaign manager for Hillary’s 2000 senate bid, is not scheduled to meet with his former boss.

In the Democratic race, Sanders called the contest against Clinton a likely tossup depending on the turnout.

“It’s not just about who you like the most”. Clinton’s campaign headquarters are in Brooklyn.

“Join us, commit tomorrow night to come out and caucus for us”. The Iowa Poll, published by The Des Moines Register and Bloomberg, also found Clinton with 45 percent support to Sanders’ 42 percent in the Democratic race. At the University of Iowa on Saturday he laid out the potential outcomes rather plainly.

“We will win the caucus on Monday night if there is a large voter turnout”.

His canvassers listened to the senator in the garage of a supporter, with a makeshift speaking floor arranged to accommodate Sanders. “But we have a long way to go”, Trump said, saying the U.S. Supreme Court should have let states decide the issue for themselves.

“I have great endorsements”, Trump said, adding that “many, many more are coming”. “This is GOTC – get out the caucus. I’m not attacking Planned Parenthood, I want to expand funding for Planned Parenthood”, he said. MSNBC has asked our readers to participate by asking questions during the debate, in keeping with an important tradition of voters being able to directly get answers from candidates.

All the campaigns are pushing to get voters out.

Vampire Weekend were without Rostam Batmanglij, who announced this week that he was leaving the group, as well as bassist Chris Baio, now touring with his Baio side project. Raul Grijalva of Arizona and Keith Ellison of Minnesota, were taking part in those events as well as phone banks.
