IN Focus: Rep. Carson blasts Trump’s controversial proposal
“I happen to disagree with her about Donald Trump”, he said.

The Republican establishment is reportedly so mortified by the prospect Trump might win its party nomination it’s angling for the first brokered convention in decades. “It allows for America to seem like it is indeed discriminatory against Islam, against Muslims”.
The numerous other immigration provisions in his platform include ending birthright citizenship, and tripling federal deportation personnel to remove an unspecified share of the 11 million people without legal papers.
Another scholar said the U.S. courts would likely rely on constitutional provisions that protect religious freedom and prohibit discrimination to strike down a ban on Muslim visitors to the country. “The president has a huge amount of discretion under the immigration statute”, said Eric Posner, a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago. “Again, my relationship with the Muslim community is excellent”, Trump said.
He told reporters: “I’m a president that knows how to make things work, and I would be very popular, I think”. Trump is calling for a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the US until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on”. Ronald Regan was also interpreted to have used racism to get more votes, referring to African Americans like they were lazy and prone to crime.
The new national survey finds that three-quarters of Republicans said Trump would have a chance of winning the general election if nominated. While he has concerns about Trump’s unfiltered style, he praises him for talking about things he says others are thinking but afraid to say themselves.
Republican presidential candidate, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, walks through the press area before the CNN Republican presidential debate at the Venetian Hotel & Casino on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, in Las Vegas. He said American citizens, including Muslim members of the military, would be exempt, as would certain world leaders and athletes coming to the U.S.to compete. Who are these Trump supporters who have propelled him to the top of the Republican primary race? And I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ And then he dials back and sort of starts explaining it and saying how he would do [it]. He added, “Trump’s supporters show all the hallmarks of people with high levels of racial resentment”.
“By contrast, 24 percent say that Trump’s manner and language might be problematic, but think he’s raising important issues”.
Senator Rick Santorum called Trump’s idea “not the right proposal” and former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee described the ban as “impractical”.
“I’m not going to be doing a third party…”
I backed Trump before he revealed his distasteful inner self because I believed America needs a businessman who knows how to reinvigorate the economy and create jobs. “This is a coup for them and to all of our Muslim friends throughout the world”. “But there’s certainly a better way to say it”.

Scholars in the United States also say a blanket ban on a person’s religion would be “unconstitutional”.
