In historic role, Clinton brings a new look to leadership
Clinton has notoriously shied away from the press during her latest presidential run, joking about her reclusive rapport with reporters during one of her last appearance before a group of journalist last winter.

Clinton was referring to Comey’s testimony at a congressional hearing last month, where he said: “We have no basis to conclude she lied to the Federal Bureau of Investigation”, and pointed out that doing so would have been a crime.
Clinton urged the need for people to vote not only for president but also for House and Senate candidates, making clear that minority turnout would make it far easier for her to deliver.
Hillary Clinton has admitted that she may have “short-circuited” her answers to media questions about the way she handled classified emails. “Were 66 percent of the American public wrong?”
The question-and-answer session at the joint convention of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) was focused on issues pertinent to those groups and their readerships. The Democratic nominee is instead programming her Global Positioning System to take her on the quickest route to collect the 270 Electoral College votes she needs to win the White House. This is a proposal Clyburn had floated as part of the legislation to recover from the Great Recession but was not included in recovery legislation. Regarding her emails, she reiterated that she didn’t send anything classified from that account.
She used her hour with the media to juggle questions about her trust deficit with voters and her email troubles, and to explain how she would implement her economic and immigration reform initiatives, if elected, in contrast with Donald Trump, whom she derided as wrong for America.
Hillary Clinton sort of, kind of, nearly broke her streak and held a press conference on Friday.
On Friday, Ms Clinton praised the work of the press, calling it a “badge of honour” for Univision reporter Jorge Ramos to have been thrown out of a Trump press conference past year.
All Clinton had to do was follow one of the oldest rules of politics: If your opponent is hurting himself, get out of the way.
While Clinton won overwhelmingly among older voters, her rival in the nomination race, Senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont, dominated her among younger voters.
Speaking here yesterday at the joint convention of the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, Clinton – who has faced months of criticism for refusing to hold press conferences – took questions from the audience of working journalists.
