“That’s what the 99% believe”, Powell wrote.
“I have told (Hillary’s) minions repeatedly that they are making a mistake trying to drag me in, yet still they try”, Powell wrote in an email sent in May to Democratic consultant Vernon Jordan.
Peggy Cifrino, a Powell aide, confirmed to Vice News he was hacked and “these are his emails”, but declined further comment.
DCLeaks posted the stolen emails online and has previously posted hacked documents from Democrats and Republicans, BuzzFeed reports.

In a new set of emails posted at DCLeaks (which, no surprise, may have a Russian connection), you can read Powell sounding off on a number of issues.
The leaked emails, which were published by the website DC Leaks and viewed by The Daily Caller, include one in which Powell, a former secretary of state and secretary of defense, claimed Albright herself told him that she did not recall the dinner party discussion detailed in Conason’s book. During an interview with FBI investigators, the Democratic nominee said Powell had advised her to use a personal email and that he did the same while serving as secretary of state.

Meanwhile, Powell also unloaded on Clinton, expressing his frustration within his inner circle about himself being tied to the controversy surrounding Clinton’s email practice during her stint at the State Department. “I saw email more like a telephone than a cable machine”, Powell wrote in one email. Lindsey Graham, Powell wrote on July 21, 2015, that “Trump has no sense of shame”.
