The NEET results will be used as the selection criteria for admissions in all central government funded medical colleges, private medical colleges and several others run by some states who accepted NEET from this year.
Of the 3,37,572 male candidates who appeared for the exam, 1,83,424 qualified the exam. Girls did better than boys with 2,26,049 candidates clearing the exam out of the 3,93,642 that appeared while four transgenders out of the nine who appeared have qualified the exam.
CBSE has also announced the top 10 candidates who scored 99.998632 percentile (668 marks out of 720) and above.
The NEET I and NEET II results 2016 are out! CBSE is going to release the NEET Rank Letter 2016 through Digilocker.
NEET 2016 results are also available on “DigiResults” website at (http://results.digilocker.gov.in) a CBSE initiative in collaboration with DigiLocker. Candidates will have to get a printout of their result/rank card from the website only. It is important to note that there’ll only be one mark-sheet, even if the candidate appeared for both phases. The NEET phase 1 & 2 results and more information will also be available on www.aipmt.nic.in.
CBSE said it has provided All India Rank to the candidates and admission authorities will draw a merit list based on the rank for MBBS and BDS seats.
The counselling for seats in medical and dental colleges is expected to be held between 22 and 25 August. Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) – NEET 2016 says, “There has been no delay with the schedule”.
