In re-election bid, Ohio senator keeps safe distance from Trump

“The first thing we’re going to do is going to, if and when I win, is we’re going to get rid of all of the bad ones – we got gang members, we have killers, we have a lot of bad people that have to get out of this country”.

“The impression I got was that the campaign is working on substantive policy to help the undocumented that are here, including some type of status so they would not be deported”, said Pastor Mario Bramnick, president of the Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition, who was at the meeting.

“We want to come up with a really fair, but firm answer”.

Kaine also said Clinton’s plan would provide incentives for state and local governments to ease regulatory burdens on new companies, make health insurance more affordable for small businesses, and make it easier to do business with the federal government.

Speaking at a Denver machine shop Tuesday, Kaine noted reports that Republican presidential candidate significantly increased the monthly rent his campaign pays in at his Trump Tower headquarters after his campaign started raising large amounts of money from donors. On Saturday, Trump met with a newly created panel of Hispanic advisers at Trump Tower in NY and asked to hear their immigration policy ideas – making clear that his position is not finalized, according to two attendees. We’re going to get them out, and the police know who they are.

Instead, Aguirre Ferre said, “he will focus on removing the violent undocumented who have criminal records and live in the country”. “That wall will go up so fast your head will spin”. He has promised to carry out mass deportations and build a wall on the U.S. -Mexico border, proposals that critics have assailed as inhumane and too costly and unrealistic to achieve. And you’ll say, ‘You know, he meant it.’ And you know what else I mean? In an August Washington Post/ABC News poll, almost 3 in 10 Republicans said they had an unfavorable view of Trump.

“Hillary Clinton has had her chance”.

A frequent point of criticism: Clinton doesn’t look like a typical president.

Earlier in August, FiveThirtyEight noted Trump placed fourth in polls among black voters, behind not just his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, but also Green Party candidate Jill Stein and Libertarian Gary Johnson.

At a rally in Akron, Ohio, Monday evening, many Trump supporters seemed unfazed by Trump’s potential shift.

Trump, meanwhile, has sought to undermine that advantage, accusing Clinton of “using the woman card” to boost her appeal. “She’s broadcasting now she has no interest in working with Congress on such an important issue”.

“Even for those who have moved on from the email server, it’s important for people to realize this is exactly what he’s talking about, a system that benefits the insiders and it’s rigged and corrupt”, said Conway.

The new positions include a deputy state director, political director, and communications director. But he has been particularly stingy with the states that have the toughest Senate elections, such as OH and New Hampshire, where Sen. The state features a critical Senate race this year, but Trump has all but ignored the OH state party.

The speech in West Bend, Wisconsin, where the black population is less than seven percent statewide, comes only three weeks after Trump declined to speak at the NAACP’s annual convention in Cincinnati, the National Urban League’s annual convention in Baltimore, and most recently, the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Washington, D.C.

The Clinton aide spoke on the condition of anonymity to share campaign strategy more freely.
