In Una, Kejriwal alleges anti-Dalit violence had Anandiben’s blessings
“Those being oppressed by the BJP will teach the party a lesson”, media reports quoted Kejriwal as saying after he visited the family of one of victims in Una, 360 km from Ahmedabad. If such incident is happening in the presence of administration then it means that those culprits were backed from higher powers. Why is the police silent? Why is it involved? “This means there is some direction from the top administration”, Kejriwal told reporters after visiting the victims of the July 11 incident at Rajkot civil hospital.

After Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi shared tea with the families affected by anti-Dalit violence in Una’s Mota Samadhiyala village on Thursday, it was the turn of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday.
Ramesh was spotted in the surgical ward of PDU hospital on Wednesday during Chief Minister Anandiben Patel’s visit.
Kejriwal also questioned the state government’s intent to carry out investigation without showing bias against Dalits.
He said only 16 persons have been arrested while 40-50 people were involved in the incident.
“Our politics is for justice of Dalits, while BJP’s politics is for trampling upon them”, Kejriwal said in reply to a question on politics behind the visit.
A head constable of police was a lone casualty in clash with mob in Amreli town on Tuesday. “The youth who attempted suicide say they are without hope”. The victims’ contention was that they were skinning a dead cow and had not killed it. Hitting back at Lalu and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, BJP senior and former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi on Friday asked the ruling grand alliance leader to first look in their courtyard before making any remarks on law and order scenario in Gujarat. They said atrocities against Dalits are growing day by day.
He demanded compensation and government jobs for the victims and the youths who had attempted suicide.

He added, “Gujarat government is anti-Dalit”. The incident at Una in Gujarat, where Dalit youths were paraded and flogged for allegedly killing a cow, caused nation-wide outrage after its video went viral.
