India admits security gaps in deadly air base attack
According to reports in the Indian media reports, PM Sharif assured Modi of Pakistan’s support in the investigation of the deadly terrorist assault that killed seven military personnel and wounded 22. Why these soldiers were martyred and why the nation is not fighting?

“The terrorists attacked the air base at Pathankot and even after 72 hours, the war hasn’t ended”.
The BJP ally in its mouthpiece said Pakistan has destroyed India’s credibility by sending the terrorists to Pathankot. However, none in the government was prepared to say yesterday that no more terrorists were inside the base or that the operation was over. Indian security officials have given conflicting accounts on whether the attackers at the Pathankot air base were still active after Home Minister Rajnath Singh declared on Saturday evening that they had been “neutralized.’ A senior federal government official said earlier on Monday that two militants hiding in the administrative block of the base had been killed on Sunday but authorities had yet to recover the bodies”.
“Eight days ago the Prime Minister visited Lahore and met his counterpart Nawaz Sharif”.
Pakistan must do all it can to help India track down the terrorists who planned the attack on the IAF base in Pathankot, a leading newspaper said on Wednesday. He said the U.S. has for a long time talked about the continued safe haven issues there in between Afghanistan and Pakistan and certainly between India and Pakistan. “Prime Minister himself went to Pakistan and cut the birthday cake of Nawaz Sharif, now he should hand over Masood to Modi”, it added.
Also Indian NSA exchanged few evidences about the terrorists who attacked Pathankot Base.
Indian intelligence agencies are saying that the attackers came from Pakistan, with the head of National Investigation Agency, Sharad Kumar, saying that the attackers came from Pakistan without elaborating further.

In a sign that both want the incipient dialogue to continue, Sharif called Modi on Tuesday to convey his “sorrow and grief” at the losses from the air base attack.
