India an important player in upcoming climate change negotiations, says French

French Foreign MinisterLaurent Fabius will hold threadbare discussions with his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj here on Friday on situation in Syria following intensification of air strikes against Islamic State and explore measures to expand counter-terror cooperation.

The two leaders also discussed the recent Paris attack in which at least 130 people were killed as well as the Mali hostage crisis.

Fabius stated India was an important participant within the upcoming climate change negotiations and France expects India to take a management position in profitable effect of Paris settlement.
