India has responded in a scathing manner to the observance of “Black Day” by Pakistan on Wednesday to express solidarity with the civilian population of Indian-administered Kashmir. According to the Press Trust of India, he requested the Lahore High Court to order an FIR against the Indian leader under murder and terrorism sections of Pakistan’s Penal Code and Anti-Terrorism Act. During the recent protests, clashes between the Indian forces and Kashmiris left at least 48 people, mostly teenagers and young men, dead and more than 200 others critically wounded.

When asked if Pakistan is considering severing diplomatic tie with India over the Kashmir violence, Aziz said: “Severing ties with India over the issue is no solution to the issue of Kashmir”. “He was killed in an operation in Anantnag after the Army received intelligence inputs on his whereabouts”, Singh clarified. “We have made mistakes in the past but want to learn from our mistakes, we want to talk about them”, Mehbooba said in Srinagar’s Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC).

“Our neighbour is conspiring to disturb the situation in the Kashmir Valley in the name of the religion”, Singh alleged.

“We seek guidance from you all as the parties here have worked in Kashmir for decades”, added.

The legitimate freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people has seen several generations wherein the Kashmiris have rendered matchless sacrifices; it is our conviction that by suppressing the voice of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination, India will not be able to legitimize its occupation in the Indian Occupied Kashmir, he said.

Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup also said that in view of the threats of marches and protests at the High Commission of India in Islamabad, Pakistan should ensure full safety and security of Indian officials and their families there.

Pakistan categorically rejected an Indian claim that Kashmir was an integral part of India. Sharif, however, has repeatedly referred to Wani, a commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen, as “a Kashmiri leader”; he has also been eulogised by Pakistani officials.

While reiterating his condemnation over the continuation of Indian oppression in Kashmir, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that this brutal use of force was a clear violation of fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people which no civilized society could permit.

He urged the worldwide community to take notice of the situation in Kashmir and extend its support to the Kashmiri people. “It was reported that 400 of those injured were in a critical condition of which 70 may have become blind”, he added.
