With an imposing 258 runs lead in the first innings, India added another 216 runs in the second innings largely with the help of Cheteshwar Pujara’s 8th Test hundred. He took 27 wickets in the three-match series.

India next host England for a five-match series in November and December.
It was one-man show as Ashwin took his series tally to 27 wickets and was rightly chosen as the man of the match and man of the series.
