“The letter emphasizes the global duty of the nations, India and Pakistan, to conclude the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with the U.N. Security Council resolutions”, the statement said. “Rest of region is with us in wanting a much more cooperative & connected South Asia but we have this one standout country which not only has a different view of the region but also has an attitude towards use of terrorism as an instrumental policy of diplomacy”. At times, domestic politics of our neighbours pose challenges. We have learnt to be patient.
“Terrorism issue has become so central to the relationship that it makes the ties hard to grow”, the Foreign Secretary said.
India is ready to hold talks on terror and the discussion on Kashmir will be limited to cross-border terrorism and infiltration in Kashmir, Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar said on Wednesday in response to his Pakistani counterpart’s invitation to visit to Islamabad.
The Indian sources, who declined to be identified, made it clear, however, that India “rejects in their entirety the self-serving allegations regarding the situation in J&K, which is an integral part of India”.
Referring to Nawaz Sharif-Naredra Modi bonhomie, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that despite the close friendship between Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Indian such statements can not be tolerated.
During his Independence Day speech Narendra Modi had claimed that people of Balochistan, Gilgit, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir had thanked him and expressed their gratitude.
In Occupied Kashmir, the puppet authorities enforced strict curfew and restrictions on the 40th consecutive day on Wednesday, to prevent people from conducting a march towards the United Nations office in Srinagar.
“It did not come out of the blue. We feel for people inside the country as well as outside the country. humanity does not stop at the borders”, sources said.
While such an approach had been adopted in the case of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, this approach, sources said, was new in the case of Pakistan.

A few days ago, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had also said that India was willing to discuss only PoK with Pakistan, and that the question of discussing Jammu and Kashmir with Islamabad just does not arise.
