India coach will be selected before South Africa series: Anurag Thakur
“We were talking on those lines but when you see such attack on India time and again, the Jammu region, now the Punjab, where Indians are losing their lives, as an Indian I don’t see a possibility of that [bilateral series]”, Thakur said.

BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur on Monday said that the decision on India’s new coach will be taken soon and the process will be completed ahead of South Africa’s tour.
The Gurdaspur terror attack has a bearing on not only the peace talks between India and Pakistan but also on the cricketing ties of both countries as the Board of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) retracted from resuming any bilateral cricketing ties with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The BCCI yesterday appeared to rule out an immediate resumption of Indo-Pak cricket ties in the wake of Gurdaspur terror attack, in which militants from the across the border are believed to be involved.
“Internal security of the country can’t be compromised…We need to solve certain issues before we step on to the cricket field”, Thakur said. And, despite doing everything in favor of BCCI, the PCB could not get any favourable result from them.
“We are also not sure if the attackers inside the police station are holding some hostages”.
Zaka, in this regard, cited first spin wizard Saeed Ajmal’s bowling action and then that of Hafeez, who had emerged as a premier all-rounder in world cricket, were declared illegal by the ICC right on the eve of the 2015 World Cup. This was part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two Boards past year. “BCCI will wait for their suggestions”, Thakur told The Times of India.

Three Tests, five ODIs and two T20s were to be played in the series. After 11 hours of consistent firing, the Border Security Forces, Punjab Police’s SWAT team and an Army battalion, killed all three terrorists.
