India hits back at Pakistan: Vacate PoK, stop abetting terror’
Criticising Pakistan’s politicization on Kashmir unrest Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Shaina NC on Friday said that talks between India and Pakistan will only take place on the issue of terrorism and not on Kashmir and the government will not compromise on this sensitive issue.

“If there is terrorism in India, then it is Pakistan sponsored”, the Home Minister said.
They also condemned the brutal use of force in Kashmir and urged the worldwide community to condemn the blatant human rights violations in Kashmir and play their role by fulfilling its commitments under the UNSC resolutions and ensuring the people of the restive valley were given their due rights.
“There is extreme pain and anguish in the people of Pakistan on the brutalities being committed against the unarmed and innocent Kashmiri people, who are only exercising their right to peaceful protest”.
On 21 July, Pakistan said it had approached the United Nations Human Rights Council to send a fact-finding team to Kashmir in order to investigate alleged human rights violations and killings of innocent people by Indian security.
Initiating the debate on Wednesday, Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia said over the last two years, since the BJP government came to power at the Centre, the situation in the valley has “deteriorated” and has become “disappointing”.
“Instead of fixing its internal problems, Pakistan is trying to destabilize India”, Rajnath Singh said in the Lok Sabha during a debate on the Kashmir issue.
Singh also informed the house that a high-level committee would be set up to look into possible non-lethal alternatives to pellet guns.
“Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Pakistan has written letters to the UN Secretary General, the President of the UN Security Council, the Secretary General of the OIC and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to express serious concern over the situation in “Indian Occupied Kashmir”, said Ahmad”.
Kashmir has been divided between rivals India and Pakistan since independence in 1947, but both claim the Himalayan territory in full.
He also reached out to other political parties, saying the government alone can not solve problems in Kashmir and all parties would have to work together.
It termed the current situation in Kashmir as a “state of siege” where mobile internet, mobile services and basic communication is banned and said it was “profoundly troubling in democratic India”.
These guns, categorised as non-lethal, were used in 2010 as well when it had killed six persons and caused eye injuries to 98 with five suffering complete blindness, he said, rejecting criticism that security forces used them indiscriminately.

After Pakistan observed “Kashmir Accession to Pakistan Day” on July 19 and Black Day on Kashmir (July 20) to mark the killing of Hizbul commander Burhan Wani, India hit back on Thursday, demanding that Islamabad give up its illegal occupation of PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir) and stop supporting violence and terrorism on Indian territory.
