India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Malaysia for being one of India’s closest partners in the region.
Singapore’s success has been an inspiration for India, said visiting Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi on Monday (Nov 23), at the 37th Singapore lecture.
The new deal will enable both the countries to reduce incidents of cyber crimes and will help strengthening cyber security by combining Indian and Malaysian resources.
This comes after the Indian Prime Minister reached out to the Indian disapora community in Malaysia, addressing them at Malaysia global Exhibition & Convention Centre earlier today.
Meanwhile, Modi said he was very pleased with India-Malaysia’s excellent and growing cooperation in traditional medicine including Ayurveda and Siddha. We will continue to deepen our cooperation in this area. “We intend to exploit the full potential of our bilateral agreements and the India-ASEAN Agreements, ” he added. Whatever we do, you will be a part of it. This is to strengthen the partnership of India and Malaysia. Warning that terrorism is the “biggest threat” to the world, Modi had yesterday said it should be delinked from religion. “It has people from so many cultures and religions and it is moving forward for further success”, he said. On ties with Japan, PM Modi said, “There are few partnerships that enjoy so much goodwill in India as our relations with Japan”. The two leaders say they will work together to combat extremism and terrorism.
Both governments also encouraged their public and private sector companies “to proactively look at large investment opportunities in each other’s country”.
