India, Pakistan might skid into nuclear war, says expert
“Our actions speak for themselves and you can see our actions are already delivering results”, Swarup said, a day after Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif aggressively raised the Kashmir issue in his speech at the UN General Assembly in NY. “Kashmir dispute can not be resolved by New Delhi’s jingoism, unethical attitude and use of brute force against the freedom-loving Kashmiri people”, he maintained.

First Secretary Eenam Gambhir’s response to what she described as Pakistan’s “long tirade” about the situation in J&K, expressed earlier in a speech by the country’s prime minister Nawaz Sharif, was short, furious, and unprecedented in its intensity and descriptions.
The ministry spokesperson said that Basit was conveyed the details of various items seized from slain terrorists involved in the Uri attack that killed 18 soldiers.
India has said the militants who attacked the military base had come from Pakistan and belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), headed by Masood Azhar – the militant commander released in exchange for passengers of an Indian Airlines flight hijacked to Afghanistan in December 1999. Both Ban Ki-moon and US President Barack Obama did not make any reference to the so-called “Kashmir issue” in their remarks, and instead, obliquely urged Islamabad to end its proxy wars and engage with India without resort to violence. However, Jammu & Kashmir has been demanding a review of the treaty as it puts the State in disadvantage of its rights to use the water of the rivers.
Prime Minister Modi stated in a tweet that the cowardly terror attack in Uri is strongly condemned and he also assured the Indian population that the terrorist group responsible for this #Crime will not be left unpunished.
“An enquiry or investigation should have been held into the incident”.
It expressed hope that foreign minister Sushma Swaraj would give a “strong and befitting reply” to the Pakistani premier and build a strong case for India in the global community. “We will take revenge”, said Indresh Kumar, a Hindu nationalist leader.
India also took aim at the internal tensions in Pakistan, calling it a “country with a democracy deficit”. Also, a recent bill introduced in the US Senate to declare Pakistan a terrorist state rubs salt to wounds. Pakistan denies sending fighters into Indian-administered Kashmir. It said the closure of air space because of these maneuvers and to precautions in northern Pakistan resulted in 10 domestic flights being cancelled.
India’s continued tough stand against Pakistan has added to Sharif’s woes.

Quoting sources placed in the defense establishment, the news report states that targets in “war-mongering” India have been selected in case of ‘aggression or surgical strikes from the enemy.’ One such source has said that Pakistan is fully prepared to counter India.
