India Rejects Decisions Adopted by Pakistan Cabinet on Kashmir
Calling on the UN to fulfil its incomplete agenda on Kashmir, Nawaz said he and the entire Pakistan nation steadfastly stood by Kashmiris against the Indian oppression.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) did not comment on Asif’s remarks but latched on to Nawaz Sharif’s eulogy on Burhan Wani and “completely and unequivocally” rejected the decision the Pakistan cabinet had adopted.

The Foreign Office on Thursday welcomed UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s offer to mediate between Pakistan and Indian amid the heightening tension between the two countries after the killing of a Kashmiri separatist commander at the hands of the Indian security forces.
“It is absolutely a flagrant violation of the position that India has consistently taken, that all issues with Pakistan will be sorted bilaterally”, Tewari said.
Despite Indian suppression, she said, the Kashmiri people were determined to continue their struggle for freedom from foreign occupation.
The prime minister directed the government departments to highlight the atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir at global forums.
India hoped that “Pakistan will desist from further interfering in India’s internal affairs and destabilising the situation in South Asia through support to terrorism and other subversive acts”.

India dismissed Pakistan’s criticism of its handling of the situation in Jammu and Kashmir and accused the Asian neighbour of using terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
