India’s home minister to visit Pakistan next week

Addressing a large gathering of party workers and people against the recent wave of violence and killings in Indian-held Kashmir, he said the issue of Kashmir evolved on the basis of ideology and not regionalism.

Though Ministry of External Affairs has denied the possibility, officials said the agenda points for the meeting were being finalised and are likely to include talks on Kashmir unrest, arrest of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists and the pending visit of the NIA team to Pakistan.

Pakistan will sensitise multinational corporations operating in India about the non-democratic and oppressive policies of the Indian government towards Kashmiris and will be asked to review their business strategies in view of human rights violation by New Delhi.

Chief Siraj ul Haq called for a joint session of parliament as well as an all-parties meeting to thrash out a national strategy on Kashmir, reported Express Tribune. While the Kashmiri youth are hoisting Pakistani flags all around with slogans of long-live Pakistan, time has come for Pakistan to forcefully advocate Kashmir issue at all world forums with force and conviction.

Army spokesperson Lt. Col. NN Joshi said the gunfire started Friday night in the northern Nowgam area of Indian-held Kashmir (IHK) after Indian soldiers spotted the fighters, who Joshi said had infiltrated from the Pakistani side of the border, known as the Line of Control. He said he was made victim for bringing Kashmir dispute close to its resolution in 1999.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif eulogized Wani as a “martyr” and accused New Delhi of using blatant force against Kashmiris.

He urged the global community to come forward to rescue the peace loving Kashmiris so that radicalism did not get a space.

Siraj-ul-Haq said that Pakistan was a nuclear power and the Pakistanis were a fearless nation.

“I don’t think that Pakistan’s internal political condition is that stable so as to allow any leader to ensure cordial relationship between India and Pakistan, ” he stated. “It is a big and long struggle”, he said, “So it is responsibility of rich and affluent people to ensure distribution of essential items amongst those who are needy”.

Further, she urged people to march with “discipline” to Nowhatta on July 29 to make the “Jamia Masjid chalo” a success.
