Underlining that financial inclusion is the government’s core focus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said banks have given loans worth Rs 50,000 crore to small entrepreneurs under the MUDRA Yojana.
In another first, Modi had met the secretaries of all departments on June four where he outlined his agenda of governance and his expectations from them.
According to the office of the Prime Minister, Indian Prime Minister Modi telephoned Oli at around 10.30 am on Thursday morning to wish the Happy New Year 2016.

“I specially request them. And, by all means, let Parliament function”, party spokesman Randeep Surjewala said, adding that reduction in additional tax burden on citizens could pave the way for the GST. “It is specially their responsibility to ensure country’s development is not stopped because of their political reasons…” he said.
More than 80 lakh families, all of them poor and mostly from backward communities, had been given loans under the MUDRA scheme to run their own enterprise, he said and also spoke about the insurance and pension schemes aimed at the welfare of the poor. “Those whom the country gave opportunities to form governments for 60 years have more of a duty towards Parliament’s functioning”.
“But our Prime Minister is keeping mum”.
The prime minister also confirmed the Centre’s decision to abolish the interview process for class III and class IV government employees.
Modi also reviewed and pressed for early completion of the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport and Rih-Tedim Road Project in Myanmar, which he described as one of the corner stones of India’s “Act East” policy, the statement said.
