At weekly press briefing, Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria told the newsmen that Kashmir issue is hailed as a core issue.
The revelation on Saeed – wanted by India for the Mumbai attacks – was made in a statement released by the Afghan Defence Ministry during the trilateral high-level military meeting between Afghanistan, Pakistan and North Atlantic Treaty Organisation officials.
On Sunday (July 24), India’s home affairs minister Rajnath Singh said the Indian government had asked its security forces to exercise restraint in responding to protests in disputed Kashmir and replace pellet guns with non-lethal weapons.
Earlier, describing Kashmir as “unfinished agenda” of the United Nations, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif vowed to raise the issue at every global platform and provide all sort of support to Kashmiris. Zakaria was responding to a query that posts related to “Indian atrocities” in the Kashmir Valley were being deleted by Facebook and that social media sites keep their eyes shut when “malicious” content against Pakistan were posted. He said he was made victim for bringing Kashmir dispute close to its resolution in 1999.
He said on August 14 people would celebrate Independence Day and on the next day they would mark a “black day” by holding a rally from Muzaffarabad to Chakothi.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif eulogized Wani as a “martyr” and accused New Delhi of using blatant force against Kashmiris. The subject of Kashmir deserves much more attention on the part of Pakistan than anything else.
Islamabad denies the allegation, saying it only provides diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri struggle for right to self-determination. “This is a realistic approach of Pakistan”, she said.
FO spokesman asserted that Kashmir remains the centre of Pakistan’s relations with India.

Further, she urged people to march with “discipline” to Nowhatta on July 29 to make the “Jamia Masjid chalo” a success.
