Pakistan official Nafees Zakaria said the entire nation was ready to defend the country in case of any attack by India after the Uri incident. The historic treaty was signed between the two countries in 1960 between India’s Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Pakistan President Ayub Khan.

Referring to Sharif’s speech, he reminded everyone that nearly 50 countries have spoken at the UNGA until now, but no one referred to the issue (Kashmir) that Sharif devoted 80 percent of his speech to. “This step has to be seen in the background of the burgeoning US-India alliance”, he said, questioning India’s alignment “with US strategic interests”.

India should understand that it’s claim of accusing Pakistan being a terrorist state has no takers, as all those movements which India brands as terrorist movements, are offshoots of Afghan Jihad, which was initiated, supported and organised by world community. “The whole world knows what Pakistan’s role is in sponsoring terror”.
“The so called dossier Pakistan PM referred to in his speech at UNGA, we find no mention of it in UN Secretary General’s statement”, Swarup said.
He added that Pakistan and its leaders had been committing crimes against the residents of Kashmir, demanding that the country stop “exporting terror and let its neighbours live in peace”.
“He has proved Pakistan’s sincerity and will by asking United Nations to implement the terms and conditions required for holding plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir”.
Gambhir said Pakistan was a “democracy deficit” country and “practises terrorism on its own people”.

Gambhir voiced India’s firm resolve to protect all its citizens from all acts of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and said “we can not and will not allow terrorism to prevail”.
