The talks lasted for an hour.

Modi and Sharif first met in May past year (pictured above) when the Pakistani leader attended Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.
Terrorism remained focus of the talks with both the leaders condemning terrorism in “all its forms” and agreeing to cooperate to eliminate the menace from South Asia.
During that meeting, the newly anointed Indian prime minister issued a stern warning that Islamabad must stop militants from attacking India. “Both countries are prepared to discuss all outstanding issues”.
However, prime ministers Modi and Sharif were not able to hold a proper, formal bilateral meeting then.
The article said India and Pakistan are also hoping to become SCO members as it has been playing an increasingly important part in fighting against both traditional and non-traditional security threats.
Underlining that the issue was discussed in “some detail”, he said, “the Prime Minister expressed our view, how people see it in India”.
Severely critical of the meeting, the Congress Party said that describing the talks as a “breakthrough” was “laughable”, and questioned the circumstances of Modi meeting Sharif in the wake of more than 200 ceasefire violations in the past 13 months.
Ufa (Russia): India and Pakistan on Friday agreed to expedite the Mumbai terror attack trial.
Today’s joint statement said that top army commanders of the Pakistani Rangers and India’s Border Security Force will meet in person in an attempt to de-escalate the tension along the Jammu and Kashmir border.
Putin also met with India’s Narendra Modi, South Africa’s Jacob Zuma and is set to speak with Brazil’s Dilma Rousseff after hosting a dinner with Brics leaders.
India and Pakistan also chose to release fishermen in each other’s custody and their boats within 15 days.
For Modi, who has accepted Sharif’s invite to attend the 19th SAARC summit in Islamabad in 2016, it will be his first visit to Pakistan after becoming prime minister, and will provide another opportunity for both leaders to hold talks. They were part of meetings in Russian Federation for the BRIC summit.
New Delhi denies the charge, saying Pakistan should present solid evidence to back up its claim.

The meeting took place at the initiative of PM Modi and proved to be an ice breaker.
