AIR runs various programme to highlight India’s point of view on different issues through its network for listeners in Pakistan. Just $5 a month.
It looks that the mounting political tension between India and Pakistan is affecting Indian exporters dealing in Pakistan, a media report said on Friday.
Execution of death verdict on Jadhav will be treated as murder: Bhamre: IF Pakistan executes the death sentence against Kulbhushan Jadhav it will be treated as murder of an Indian national, Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre on Thursday said.
India claims Jadhav was abducted by Pakistani security agencies a year ago from Iran where he ran a small business. The Government should go the whole hog in saving Jadhav.
Within Pakistan, the case of Jadhav’s sentencing has raised questions about civil-military relations in the country.
However, spokesperson Gopal Baglay did not comment on the issue but said that “the leadership is seized of the matter”.
“What the dossier contained was not enough”.
He said the bar has asked the government not to bow to any foreign pressure in the case of Jadhav.
New Delhi is also weighing the options available to it within the legal framework of Pakistan to make Islamabad lift the veil of secrecy from the judicial proceedings against Jadhav.
The quick trial and sentencing of Jadhav in a military court seems to be an attempt by Pakistan’s new Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Bajwa to flex his muscles and demonstrate his anti-India resolve. ISPR confirmed that Bajwa confirmed Jadhav’s sentence.
The top Pakistani military officials also reviewed the national security environment and recent developments in the region at the 201st conference of Corps Commanders.
After growing by 14 per cent, exports from Pakistan to India amounted to $286 million in the July-February period. Ultimately when the decision was made it was military courts decision. This action against Kulbhhushan Jadhav is against all norms of global conduct. The most notable was Ravindra Kaushik, a street actor who, after extensive training in Delhi succeeded in getting a civilian clerk’s job in the Pakistan Army’s Military Accounts Department.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time an “Indian spy” has been caught by Pakistan.

Moreover, the incident will serve to undermine bilateral trust and significant delay any effort toward bilateral spy swaps between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
