Indian troops still fighting 2 gunmen at Pathankot air base
Pathankot: An IED exploded during the combing operation at the Air Force base in Pathankot even as three security personnel injured in the terror attack by Pakistani terrorists succumbed to injuries, taking the death toll of security men killed in the attack to six.

He also said that the security forces had sounded an alert in the area, including the Indian Air Force base near Pathankot, ahead of the pre-dawn attack on Saturday. He said they were quickly engaged by Indian troops and “were unable to move toward their likely intended target” of the area where the base’s aircraft and military equipment are kept.
Pathankot police chief Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh official said the search would continue until they were satisfied the area was free of militants or munitions.
