Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck ‘to miss up to six weeks’
The Colts believe surgery is not required and full recovery is expected to be two-to-six weeks.

“We sent him for a few tests and the tests revealed that he had a laceration to one of his kidneys and a partial tear to an abdominal muscle”.
“It’s way too early to guess how long Andrew will be out”, Pagano said. We needed time, especially on the offensive side with the change at the coordinator position, just to keep progressing and familiarizing everybody with how we call things and do things.
The six-week timetable could be aggressive because the Colts will be cautious about bringing Luck back.
The injury comes as Luck had just recovered from an injury to his shoulder and ribs that caused him to miss two games earlier in the season. While the Colts do have Matt Blanchard tucked away on their practice squad, the team will likely need to find a reliable veteran behind Hasselbeck.
To exacerbate what’s been a year to forget for Luck due to lackluster results and the physical punishment he’s endured, he’s dealt with controversy for his injuries.
“We’ve got all the confidence in the world in Matt”, Pagano said.
It has been speculated for a few time now that Andrew Luck has been injured for the first half of the season. After the a bye this week, Indy will face the Atlanta Falcons on November 22.
Luck was injured in Sunday night’s win over the Denver Broncos. It will galvanize us even more. “We’ve won with Matt. We’ll do the same thing, and certainly we will not put Andrew back out there again until he’s 100 percent healthy”. He did start, finish and win Sunday’s game – and reverted to his pre-injury form.

It’s showed. Luck missed the first two games of his career after getting hurt at Tennessee on September 27. In a best-case scenario, Luck could then return, though it’s possible he could miss games against Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville and Houston.
