Indianapolis authorities said the defendant is black and wore a two-toned hoodie with pants that are light.

She was a mother, a wife, and a member of Resonate Church, a church she started with her husband, Davey. Their toddler son was in the other room at the time of the shooting, but was not hurt.

During an Indianapolis Metro Police Department news conference on homicides in the past year, they discussed Amanda Blackburn’s homicide.

Crimestoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to a felony arrest in the case. However, they say Blackburn’s home shows no sign of forced entry. Investigators soon learned of surveillance footage showing a hooded individual, attempting to hide his face, walking around the neighborhood.

Crime scene detectives returned to the house Wednesday evening, checking to make sure nothing was missed during the initial investigation. Police Sgt. Kendale Adams told ABC News that the home invasion looked like it took a dark turn.

Police believe this was a random act, and suspect information has not yet been released.

The couple moved to the area in 2012, according to the church’s website.

The couple, who have a child, appeared to be madly in love, posting YouTube videos on the way to a “romantic getaway” in Chicago and Amanda even offering marriage advice: “You can lead your wife best, by just being a really, really good Godly example to her”.

“I think she would want people to know that the story doesn’t end here that she would want us to do our very best and carry on the mission”, said Barrett.

Amanda’s father, Phil Byars, pastors First Baptist Church of Elkhart in Indiana.

“Please join us in prayer for our pastor, his son Weston and their entire family during these hard days ahead”, the church wrote.

The 28-year-old woman was 12 weeks pregnant when she was taken off life support on Wednesday. Yesterday, Davey came home from the gym to discover a home invasion had taken place at his house, and his wife, Amanda, had suffered a gunshot wound.

“We’ll never be able to fix damage done to the Blackburn family, but we will bring justice”, said Jay Abbott, the FBI’s Assistant Special Agent in Charge. Worship Pater Derek Barrett reflected on who Amanda was.

“We know the person caught on camera standing outside the home is the one who murdered Amanda”, Indianapolis police Major Eric Hinch said.
