The Cleveland Indians show no sign of letting up their dominance of the Detroit Tigers. He threw five shutout innings of relief in a win on July 1 in Toronto.

With the win, Detroit snapped its 11-game losing streak to Cleveland – with all 11 setbacks coming in 2016.

Here are 13 Walk-Off Thoughts on the Indians’ 12-1 win against the Detroit Tigers Tuesday night. Once we processed yesterday, we move on.

“Huge”, Castellanos said. “There’s a big difference going into a brand new series having won the last game you played than going into a brand new series having been swept”. “If you do it good enough people start asking those kind of questions”.

Lonnie Chisenhall was 4 for 5 with three RBI while Carlos Santana and Tyler Naquin homered.

Michael Fulmer (9-2) pitched six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits with two strikeouts and two walks.

“I think we’ve been focused against everybody”, said shortstop Francisco Lindor, who along with starting pitcher Danny Salazar was selected to the All-Star Game as a reserve. “There’s definitely a little bit of weight off the shoulders, just to beat the Indians after 11 straight losses”.

“I don’t want to say it was flat, but it was real quiet in the dugout”, Ausmus said.

First pitch from Progressive Field is set for 7:10 p.m. E.T.

The Tigers offense helped get Fulmer out of a 2 run deficit after the 3rd inning by responding with 3 runs in the 4th inning and 5 runs in the 5th inning. Cabrera was justifiably upset, and he was visibly agitated, gesturing and yelling towards the officiating crew after they ruled a fair ball and ground out on a ball that appeared to glance off his shin.

REYES APPLAUDED IN RETURN: Jose Reyes trotted over to third base at the beginning of batting practice, ready to take grounders during infield drills with the New York Mets. He was ejected when the umpires didn’t reverse the call. Rajai Davis pulled a double down the left field line, scoring Ramirez and moving Chisenhall to third. That ended when he gave up two runs on Wednesday, although the second was unearned. Realizing he didn’t have a play at first, Lindor turned the other way and fired to third to nab the lead runner and end the inning.

The fact that he was able to work through some early hiccups was most impressive, and teammates felt he actually improved following a brief scare in which he went down after getting stepped on by Jason Kipnis while covering first base on a double-play ball in the fifth inning.

“Boy the first three innings, one-two-three, one-two-three, one-two-three, that was really good”, manager Terry Francona said of Tomlin.

Cameron Maybin also homered for the Tigers, who are 5-2 in the first seven contests of an 11-game road trip to Tampa Bay, Cleveland and Toronto. Tests revealed that he suffered only a Grade 1 strain and is expected to miss 10 to 14 days, but he was the second Tigers starter to be placed on the DL within a 24-hour span; Jordan Zimmermann was placed on the DL on Monday with a right neck strain.
