Biden also eulogized his son Beau Biden who died of cancer a year ago, emotionally telling the crowd that the strength of America is in getting up and moving on despite loss.

Obama said Americans are not a frightened, fearful people living in a “divided crime scene” as envisioned by Trump, and can only solve their problems by coming together and being faithful to the nation’s founding ideals. “Actually, he has no clue, period”.
The DNC filled with “Not a clue” chants following that line. As Obama battled Clinton for the 2008 Democratic nomination, he lauded Reagan for changing “the trajectory of America” and said that Republicans “were the party of ideas for a pretty long chunk of time”.
Biden described her as “always there” for those in need, with an understanding of how to improve health care and lower college costs. Biden said that “betrays our values” and makes it harder for the United States to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
Biden on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” furthered a portrait of a Trump presidency as unsafe to the USA role in the world, honing in on comments Trump recently made saying he wouldn’t necessarily defend North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies attacked by Russian Federation.
“Look, I learned one thing”, said Biden.
On Thursday, all eyes are on Clinton herself as she gears up to deliver one final speech to close out the convention.
In Ireland last month, Biden cast the Republican nominee as a xenophobe peddling isolationism and nationalism. “But if you’re gonna be president of the United States of America, you better know”.
His speech contrasted with Republican Donald Trump’s dark speech last week at the Republican convention in Cleveland, where he accused Clinton of a legacy of “death, destruction, terrorism and weakness” and vowed to be vowed to crack down on crime and illegal immigration. “Everybody knows she is tough”.
On Tuesday, the Former Secretary of State made history as she became the first female presidential nominee of a major political party. The Trump campaign first responded by saying, “This concept that Michelle Obama invented the English language is absurd” and later a speechwriter came forward to take the blame.
While the phrase turns up in both sets of remarks, it also appears in an Obama speech from 2010.
“So I said to myself…when he was talking about how the system is rigged”, he continued.
“And then there’s Donald Trump”.

“As somebody who has now been in elected office at various levels for about 20 years, I’ve seen all kinds of insane stuff happen, and I think anybody that goes into campaigns not running scared can end up losing”.
