According to Dr Lahane, Indrani was on epilepsy medication.
“Indrani Mukerjea was brought here at 2pm”.
Television reports suggest that a grief-stricken Indrani had requested a few tablets, after her mother Durga Bora passed away in Guwahati on Thursday.
“We will take 24 hours to assess, and then we will see what her (Indrani’s) response is”. He added that the jail authorities gave a history that she was on anti-epileptic pills since September 11. We are giving oxygen and she is admitted in CCU, said Lahane. “JJ Hospital Dean TP Lahane said that Indrani was admitted to the hospital at around 2pm and she has been unconscious ever since”.
The CBI filed the case under various sections of Indian Penal Code including criminal conspiracy, murder, abduction, destruction of evidence, causing hurt by giving poison and Arms Act.
Ms Bora, 24, was killed allegedly by her mom, step-father Sanjeev Khanna, and a driver inside an auto in April 2012, in Mumbai.
