Even before Halo 5’s release, 353 Industries launched their Spartan customization website, allowing users to customize their characters for use online. Through a partnership with Sandboxr and 3D Systems, Halo 5 players can now order a 3D-printed version of their Spartan, complete with customizations made to it.
The 3D-printed collectible will be offered worldwide starting at $29.99.
There are 175 different armor and helmet types to choose from, along with 30 color options.
Halo 5: Guardians is now available exclusively on Xbox One. “We are excited to be able to leverage our technology to transform meaningful gaming experiences into physical realities”.
Halo Franchise Development Director Frank O’Connor said, “If you’re anything like me, you spend a long time building, creating and customizing your Spartan and getting it just right”. “Over the years, Halo fans have been clamoring for the ability to buy a personalized Halo Spartan”. The on-demand 3D printing will produce Spartans in photorealistic color that will be shipped to clients’ doorsteps. This new venture will allow gamers and fans to create 3D-printed versions of their beloved “Halo” characters.
