The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Britax have announced the recall of infant auto seats due to a fall hazard.
#Recall: Do you have these @Britax infant products? (See model numbers below).
The auto seats were sold nationwide at stores including Babies “R” Us, Buybuy Baby and Target as well as online at sites including Amazon.com and Diapers.com from November 2014 through January 2016 for between $210 and $250. Britax says it received 74 complaints about handles cracking or breaking.
The recall affects Britax B-Ready strollers and B-Ready replacement top seats that were sold separately.
Britax responded to Mary’s comment shortly after she initially posted it. The company stated that “it takes a certain period of time to fully understand the cause for any reported product malfunction” as well as to come up with a “suitable and permanent remedy to guard against additional issues”. They were manufactured from April 1, 2010 through December 31, 2012.
