Infiniti QX30 is a Merc GLA in drag

It might seem like you’ve already seen this vehicle, but in fact this is the first time Infiniti has shown the new QX30 small luxury crossover. The body showcases Infiniti’s unique styling language as previewed by the QX30 concept from earlier this year. A special metal plating is located behind the badge to allow radar waves of the Intelligent Cruise Control to pass through.

Of course, the QX30’s main highlight would be its height. The seat backs have been carefully engineered to match the curvature of the spine, providing consistent spinal support by more equally distributing load across the seat to minimise pressure on back muscles.

Rumour has it, however, that the QX30 will get a bespoke suspension set-up created to make it more comfortable, although Infiniti is still claiming that the vehicle will offer “confidence-inspiring handling” and that it will be “able to take on urban, suburban and winding rural roads in all driving conditions”. Infiniti Voice Recognition interacts with the InTouch infotainment system to control audio and navigation commands.

Can’t Wait for the Infiniti QX30? . For example, if sensors detect wheel slip, braking is applied to the slipping wheel, while torque is sent to the gripping wheel for additional stability. Although Infiniti hasn’t confirmed powertrains, the 208-hp, 2.0-liter turbo-four engine and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic from the Q30 will nearly certainly be standard. These include a 1.6-litre turbo generating 90kW and 115kW, to a range-topping 2.0-litre turbo Mercedes engine producing 155kW. A 208 hp Mercedes 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol engine might be available for the United States market only.

Infiniti has revealed its new QX30 crossover ahead of the new model going on sale in the middle of next year..
