Initial exams suggest injury is not serious

Edelman’s 30 straight games from that point through most of the 2014 season nearly made his rampant injury concerns disappear, but now they’ve bubbled back to the surface.

Maintaining a close relationship between quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Julian Edelman will be considered key for the New England Patriots this season.

Saints rookie defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins surprised everybody at Tuesday’s joint practice between the New Orleans and New England when he intercepted Tom Brady and ran it back for a touchdown.

Injury struck the Patriots, and very hard mid season.

Back in May, Ninkovich talked about the fact that as a former 5th round pick, he’s already made it farther than most players at his position. The reason why their season was brought to a stop was the Denver Broncos, a team that went on to win the Super Bowl.

It appeared as though Edelman re-injured his left foot, the one that has required two surgeries since November.

The Patriots better be extra careful with Jules going forward.

And special teams Captain Matthew Slater summed up how respected Edelman is in the Patriots locker room and around the National Football League when he said, “Julian is a fierce competitor”.

Edelman, 30, underwent a second surgical procedure on his foot in May that caused him to start training camp on the physically unable to perform list.

Though Edelman later put the shoe back on, he left the field on foot as the practice continued.
