Initial stocks of iPhone 7 Plus sold out, Apple says

Trudy Muller issued a statement on Wednesday saying, “We sincerely appreciate our customers’ patience as we work hard to get the new iPhone into the hands of everyone who wants one as quickly as possible”. Various online polls have found that the jet black colour is a preferred choice among iPhone lovers even though the company has warned it could get scratches on its surface. The Cupertino company said initial sales are a measure of availability (supply) and not demand – in other words, Apple can’t make enough iPhones to satisfy the high demand. However, the fact that all variants of the iPhone 7 Plus are completely sold out – meaning customers won’t be able to buy them at launch day in Apple Stores – probably indicates that the demand is beyond Apple’s wildest predictions.

“To review the camera in the new iPhone 7 Plus”, Schiller writes, “I chased Outside editors up rivers, down dusty singletrack, through the woods, and into classic New Mexican burrito joints”. The line at the 5th Avenue Apple Store in NY started as early as September 8.

On the UK Apple online store, delivery times for the “Jet Black” iPhone 7 are listed as “3-5 weeks” in both 128GB and 256GB storage options.

Apple announced the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at a launch event on September 7.

Apple stated in the statement released to TechCrunch, that they could not be happier with the initial response to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Improved cameras and elimination of the traditional headphone jack are two of the most important upgrades the iPhone has received this year. The Note 7 recall not only took the iPhone’s strongest out, it also blemished the image of Samsung’s entire smartphone lineup. Let us know in the comments.
